Construction Timeline
It turns out it’s been WAY too long since I posted an update. Sorry about that. We’ve got lots to tell you though!
Plumber has been booked! And thank fuck for that, because we can’t open until we have a county approved line to the sewer with grease interceptors installed. They start 8 August, which means we have between now and then to get AS MUCH carpentry and drywall done as possible. Bring on the power tools!
We’re having work parties every weekend between now and 8 August to try and get everything done. Saturday July 16 and July 23 from 10am - 2pm, and Sunday July 31 and August 7 from 12pm - 4pm. Grab your work gloves and safety goggles and come join us.
Once the plumbing and electrician gets started we’re going to have opportunities for cleaning and painting on weekday evenings. Stay tuned for those as we need to figure out how best to work around the P&E work first.
Once all the construction is done, we get to put all the finishing decorative touches on the store. Paint, floors, hanging the art and more.
Whew! I’m tired just reading all of that. If everything goes to plan we’re hoping to get opening in September. No word yet on when in September but probably towards the end of the month. Or maybe the first week of October and then it will be the coolest birthday gift I could give myself, lol.
