A little set back

Sigh. Bureaucracies are just the worst. We got an email this morning from the new landlords letting us know that there was a small delay in getting everything ready for the hand off, mostly due to delays from the City. These things happen, of course, but it’s disappointing to hear about it 4 days before The Big Day. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come… But it does give us just a little bit more time to plot, plan and shop.

Speaking of shopping, we have decided on a floor treatment and holy cow is it out of this world. Literally. Inspired by this floor treatment pictured below, we’re creating an epoxy floor that looks like nebulas or galaxies. It will be shimmery and spacy and so very cool.

But of course we had to do it in our colors. So we found the perfect blend of teal and purple/blue pigments to swirl together, plus white for sprays of stars. This is going to be one of the last projects we do in the store and we promise to take lots of pictures and do some time lapse filming so you can watch it all unfold. But for now we wait, and dream, and plan. Because that’s just how bureaucracies are sometimes.

Sigh.

These are the pigments we’ll be using for the floor, showcased on my trusty leather jacket to mimic the black base color.
